What Kopetta holds about you, why, and how to remove it.
What is held
Your email address and password, handled by Supabase Auth. Your name, handle, and anything you choose to add to your profile — bio, city, brew method, flavours. Everything you create: cups, reviews, posts, comments, photographs, messages, check-ins, saved cafés.
Location
Kopetta asks for your position only when you tap “cafés near me”, and only to sort the list. It is used for that request and not stored. Check-ins record which café you were at, because that is the point of a check-in; you can turn off showing them on your profile.
Who can see it
Your journal and your messages are private to you. Reviews, posts, comments and check-ins are public. A private profile hides your profile page from everyone but you. Access is enforced in the database itself, not only in the app.
Who else gets it
Supabase hosts the database and files. Vercel hosts the site. Neither is given your information for their own purposes. Kopetta runs no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no analytics.
Cookies
One, for staying signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why Kopetta has no cookie banner.
Getting rid of it
Delete your account from your profile settings. Your journal, messages, posts, comments, check-ins and personal details are deleted outright. Reviews stay on café pages with your name removed, because deleting them would silently change a business’s rating — the review remains, the person does not.
Getting a copy
Settings has an Export button. It hands back your own rows as a JSON file — your cups, your shelf, your lists, your reviews, your posts and messages, your orders. What it leaves out, it names: other people are identifiers rather than profiles, and the public café listings are not yours to take. Ask if you want anything it misses.
